David James Pedersen

Most of us know David as "Freakshow" or "show" or "freak" or "The Rev" or "Rev 'er up," the Canadians he rode motocross with called him "the Reverend."
The "Rev of High Speed and Constant Vibration" that is...

For years I heard tale of this "Freakshow" character...A few years ago I finally got to become friends with David.

And in the last 15 months he became a dear friend. Someone I talked with almost everyday.

David was an incredible downhill skier; this past winter many of us skied with David on the slopes of Lutsen numerous times a week, he even skied backwards...

David was an incredible motocross rider, his shop was lined with trophies, and spare parts, if it might have a use, David kept it.

This past winter David and many other dirtbike riders studded their tires to ride on the area lakes. David was superb...he could ride wheelies on the ice, all the way across the lake...

David was a great carpenter, he recently built a very nice new home on his property off of 8th Ave. Which he sold, helping his family secure an even brighter future.

David had great plans for the "future." His "Research facility" in the EDA Park was going to be his biggest smoke show yet.

David made many of us his hopeful business partners...I was going to be his technology advisor, Boomer was his research and testing expert, and Leonard was to be his mechanical engineer...

David talked all the time about his "new contraptions and inventions" and how he was going to "blow air into the future." We were all excited to be part of his "show."

While most people live life... to live for as long as they can, David lived his life to the fullest, pushing the envelope, doing things most people couldn't.

David's last great adventure was a trip to the motocross park in Wheeler, WI. Where he rode like a champion, while breaking-in his new YZ250 two stroke.

He died as the result of what he loved to do, and that's how David would have wanted it to be.

Today is David's B-day, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID, WE LOVE YOU...and we will never forget you...

Our final farewell to Dave was Aug 4th, 2007 on the shores of Lake Superior near Grand Marais, Minnesota. We rode our bikes and partied until the wee hours...[check out the gallery of images and video from that day]
